On October 30th, Apple held their third event of 2023 dubbed “Scary Fast” unveiling a new MacBook Pro and more. This event focused around new chips: the M3, M3 Pro, and M3 Max. As for the basic M3, this has an eight-core CPU, and they claim that it will perform 35% faster compared to the previous M1. For the higher peformance versions, the M3 Pro will support 36GB of memory, and the M3 Max will support 128GB of unified memory. The higher tiered Pro and Max are exclusively made for 14 and 16 inch models which have a sleek black finish (used in the thumbnail of this piece.) MacBook Pro models start at a more reasonable $1,599.

Regular viewers of our podcast, The Nyedis Anarchy Series, may remember a recap of September’s event by our CIO Adam Callen which viewers dubbed his “unethusiastic tech review.” Many of you appreciated his bluntness, as opposed to most of the media acting like this was the most revolutionary product launch ever seen. Is Adam as unenthusiastic about this product launch? We’ll see. Make sure you’re subscribed to the podcast on all platforms below to be the first to check it out when he gives his take on this one.
